Heloise

Heloise Hunter: Green Party Candidate for Norland in 2024.

Vote Heloise on 2 May 2024

I am very glad to have been chosen as the Green Party’s candidate for Norland Ward at the coming by-election on the 2 May.

Having been born in Norland and lived here for much of my life, this community holds a special place in my heart. I am standing to be councillor because I am committed to ensuring every corner of Norland gets the support and care it needs to thrive. People here back the Green Party because we provide a hopeful and fresh alternative. Whether you’re a long-time Green voter or looking for a new direction, you can be certain I will be advocating for all of Norland.

Norland requires work, strategic investment, and care to flourish. I have been listening to your concerns, including flooding, air quality, community services, and transport. I’m sure you have further opinions, and I am very keen to hear all your suggestions and ensure Norland is improved for every resident.

My priorities include:

  • Addressing air pollution to create healthier spaces around Norland, especially near our residential and school areas.
  • Improving our public transport and ensuring Holland Park tube is reliable for residents and locals.
  • Making streets safer for pedestrians and cyclists. Crucially, engaging constructively with residents and with Transport for London to create the best possible version of the proposed Holland Park roundabout cycle lane.
  • Working to ensure new developments take into account the needs of residents and support an inclusive community.
  • Preserving and improving our precious green spaces.
  • Working with the council to ensure proper flood defenses, especially in the lower lying areas of Norland.
